Unique “Helios” electronic ballast

At night, the street lights turn on at maximum power, but it is partially or fully switched off when traffic is reduced. Uneven and inadequate illumination creates uncomfortable conditions for the life of the people and can provoke accidents on the roads, and to increase the number of crimes in the night-time. These problems can be resolved with the help of modern lighting control devices, for example, controllable electronic ballast.

Controllable electronic ballasts are used to achieve maximum energy efficiency and lamp control. Energy efficient equipment allows to control input current lamp and its luminous flux. The lighting control device designed in IVT BelSU is significantly different from those analogues on the market. Further consider at what appears the uniqueness of “Helios” electronic ballast.

  1. “Helios” electronic ballast has two modes. Depending on your needs, it can be managed and unmanaged. Besides, operation of the device can be autonomous.
  2. The unique construction of the network topology. “Helios” electronic ballast works on existing power lines using PLC technology.
  3. Construction of network. “Helios” electronic ballasts technology uses repeaters, allowing to create a network of up to 8 km.
  4. Construction of the network in cases of force majeure. Failure of electronic ballasts repeater network automatically adjusts without the need for human intervention and repair crews.
  5. Lighting control. “Helios” electronic ballasts functional allows to control individual lamp and / or group of lamps. Also, it has the function of address control, dimming and monitoring status of the lamp through the built-in PLC-modem.
  6. Minimal interference in the network. The use of “Helios” electronic ballast excludes a negative impact on the network and does not create noise on the line.
  7. Control the light intensity (dimming). The function of pulse dimming maintains a stable voltage across the lamp, allowing maximize the life of the lamp.

If the electronic ballast operates in the automated outdoor lighting control system, the lamp status diagnostic results are displayed on the monitor screen at the controller. The software displays the faulty lamp, even when disconnected lamps, that allow the controller remotely and quickly identify the nature and location of the fault, and transmit this information to a repair brigade.

At the moment, “light management” is the most energy efficient and reliable option, which allows to achieve maximum energy savings and the organization of intelligent lighting.
