IVTBelSU took part in the forum “Smart City. Instructions for Use” which was held in Belgorod. It was organized by the Ministry of Construction in cooperation with the government of the Belgorod Region. The forum gathered representatives of more than 60 subjects of the country and representatives of more than 100 Russian enterprises, including major IT companies.
The forum discussed the work of the Regional Development Centers (RDCs), which have become one of the main drivers of digital development in the regions. The RDCs have become an intermediary between citizens and authorities, thanks to which the whole picture of the region’s problems can be seen. There were also sessions devoted to the application of Big Data and artificial intelligence technologies in urban economy, financing of Smart City projects, development of intelligent transport systems, digitalization of housing and utilities, and other topical issues of urban management.
At the plenary session of the forum, the governors of Belgorod, Kursk and Murmansk regions presented the results of digitalization of their regions. They are introducing smart housing and utilities services that control snow removal, transportation projects to solve the problem of traffic jams, launching digital feedback services for residents, as well as projects in the field of health care and security.
