Helios Individual Lamp Control (Helios ILC)

Overview

Helios Individual Lamp Control (Helios ILC) is the hardware and software complex that allows to use the address control of each lamp with the ability to group them and to use of dimming function. Adjustment of lighting level for the whole line is performed by adjustment of each lamp.

  • Individual lamp control

Helios ILC provides opportunity to control and manage each lamp separately, and receive reports on its functioning and status as well.

  • Control the light intensity of each lamp

In the late night hours light dimming of every third lamp can save up to 25% of annual costs.

  • Address diagnosis of the bulb states

Helios ILC immediately notifies about failure occurrences with bulbs that allows to replace it timely.

  • Full remote lighting management

Remotely managing and controlling of each lamp from internet-connected computer can reduce the maintenance costs and ease the management.

  • Precise lighting schedule

Flexible adjustment of lamp turning on/off schedule (annual, season, solar calendar) allows to use lighting effectively and save up to 10%.

  • Fast fault detection

Alerts on power fluctuation or other critical electricity-related events are received more quickly helping to provide the higher outdoor lighting quality.

  • Reports generation

Successful management of outdoor lighting is achieved through the graphical representation of energy consumption.

  • Work tracking and inventory

Tracking materials, objects and activities makes taking inventory ten times easier and saves a lot of time.

  • Energy accounting

Remotely readable light line, lamp current and energy meter measurements make the job easier and reduce maintenance costs.

How it works

  1. The user connects to the Helios software using a common web browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and others.
  2. User commands (e.g., turning lights on/off) are transmitted to Helios control cabinet through GSM-data transfer method.
  3. Helios control cabinet executes the given user commands (turns on/off lamps) and transmits them to the PLC modem through powerline communications. Helios control cabinet sends reports on:
    • lamp status,
    • consumed energy,
    • meter measurement,
    • cabinet door opening,
    • power decrease, etc.
  4. PLC modem controls each separate lamp by turning it on/off or by changing the light intensity.
