Unique “Helios” electronic ballast

At night, the street lights turn on at maximum power, but it is partially or fully switched off when traffic is reduced. Uneven and inadequate illumination creates uncomfortable conditions for the life of the people and can provoke accidents on the roads, and to increase the number of crimes in the night-time. These problems can be resolved with the help of modern lighting control devices, for example, controllable electronic ballast.

Controllable electronic ballasts are used to achieve maximum energy efficiency and lamp control. Energy efficient equipment allows to control input current lamp and its luminous flux. The lighting control device designed in IVT BelSU is significantly different from those analogues on the market. Further consider at what appears the uniqueness of “Helios” electronic ballast.

  1. “Helios” electronic ballast has two modes. Depending on your needs, it can be managed and unmanaged. Besides, operation of the device can be autonomous.
  2. The unique construction of the network topology. “Helios” electronic ballast works on existing power lines using PLC technology.
  3. Construction of network. “Helios” electronic ballasts technology uses repeaters, allowing to create a network of up to 8 km.
  4. Construction of the network in cases of force majeure. Failure of electronic ballasts repeater network automatically adjusts without the need for human intervention and repair crews.
  5. Lighting control. “Helios” electronic ballasts functional allows to control individual lamp and / or group of lamps. Also, it has the function of address control, dimming and monitoring status of the lamp through the built-in PLC-modem.
  6. Minimal interference in the network. The use of “Helios” electronic ballast excludes a negative impact on the network and does not create noise on the line.
  7. Control the light intensity (dimming). The function of pulse dimming maintains a stable voltage across the lamp, allowing maximize the life of the lamp.

If the electronic ballast operates in the automated outdoor lighting control system, the lamp status diagnostic results are displayed on the monitor screen at the controller. The software displays the faulty lamp, even when disconnected lamps, that allow the controller remotely and quickly identify the nature and location of the fault, and transmit this information to a repair brigade.

At the moment, “light management” is the most energy efficient and reliable option, which allows to achieve maximum energy savings and the organization of intelligent lighting.

New “Helios” outdoor lighting control cabinets in a plastic housing

Helios outdoor lighting control cabinets in a plastic housingFunctioning of any intelligent lighting control system depends on the cabinet outdoor lighting, whose main function is the distribution of electricity. To perform this function control cabinet must be made of high quality material, which would be able to withstand weather changing and does not create interference for transmitting GSM-signal.

Thus, IVT BelSU developed “Helios” outdoor lighting control cabinets with a housing made of polyester. New housing material is not readily flammable and self-extinguishing pressed wired glass polyether. Through the use of 28% fiberglass each element of control cabinet has elasticity, prevents the appearance of cracks and dents, besides the control cabinet will not yellow in the operation of the sun.

New vandal-proof plastic housing of “Helios” control cabinet has a three-point locking system, which ensures a high degree of protection and is optimum alternative to a metal hull control cabinet.

IVT BelSU on the exhibition Interlight Moscow 2015

Today started Interlight Moscow powered by Light + Building exhibition, which will last until November 13, 2015 in Expocentre, Moscow, Krasnopresnenskaya nab. 14, Vystavochnaya Metro Station (Filevskaya line, №4).

Institute of high technologies of the Belgorod State University will present new items of its products – the most advanced equipment (with maximum energy-saving effect) in the field of outdoor lighting automation.

We invite you to visit our stand in Hall F.C124 of Forum Pavilion. For free access to the exhibition you should fill out the application form and receive an electronic ticket.

See you at the exhibition Interlight Moscow powered by Light + Building!

IVT at “Electro-2015”, Rostov-on-Don

The exhibition “Electro-2015” took place in Russia, Rostov-on-Don, from 18th to 20th of February. This year in this exhibition participated companies from different parts of Russia, as well as of Belarus and the Czech Republic. “Electro-2015” is organized every year, this year’s main theme was electrical engineering and innovative design of energy efficient equipment.

In the exhibition IVT presented hardware and software complex Helios, which gained a lot of attention from other exhibitors and visitors.

Helios Dimmer cabinet in Ivanovo

In 2014, in Ivanovo, Russia, was implemented outdoor lighting control and management system Helios, which allows to remotely managing and controlling of each light line from internet-connected computer. City officials continue to follow a program of outdoor lighting modernization and decided to hold a pilot project of Helios Dimmer cabinet, which allows to change the intensity of the light output of each light line using the existing infrastructure.

The company’s success over the 2014 year

total-2014Last year for IVT was full of large-scale projects in the field of energy efficiency and modernization of outdoor lighting.

At the beginning of 2014 year was set up the largest Russian energy service project in Kursk, where the company has delivered energy-saving equipment for outdoor lighting control Helios.

As a result, the project has been achieved energy savings of over 60% (consumption reduced from 6 to 2 MW), which is one of the highest rates in Russia for projects of this type.

In the latter half of the 2014 year IVT took part in the implementation of an energy project in Ryazan, in which the outdoor lighting in the city was completely modernized.

In addition, in 2014 year the company has continued implementation of hardware and software complex Helios in Mongolia, as well as launch pilot projects in the cities of Russia and CIS countries.
